# EMBER Knob — Shou Sugi Ban Round Pedestal Table

> A solid wood round pedestal dining table.

Knob is the piece EMBER is built around. A solid wood round top, six feet across, sits on a solid wood base, a soft, tapered round pedestal sculpted by hand into one continuous form. Every surface is then taken through Yakisugi: charred by hand, brushed back to raise the grain, and oiled. It is the longest finishing job in our shop, on the largest piece we make. No veneer and no hollow core: solid wood, finished by fire.
