# EMBER — All Yakisugi

> Every piece in EMBER is Yakisugi: charred by hand, brushed back, and oiled.

The char is not something we apply; it is the surface of the board itself. We burn each piece, brush it back to raise the grain, and oil what remains.

## Fire is the finish

Yakisugi was a weatherproofing method long before it was a look. We char to a full alligator skin, brush most of it away, and oil what remains, a surface that sheds water and takes decades of hands without wearing thin.
